Services
Dr. Edward Shamieh, DDS focuses on rebuilding smiles and replacing missing or failing teeth with implants, dentures and digital prosthetics. After fourteen years in practice, his work is now concentrated within one focused scope. Mission: Dental Implants makes a deliberate effort to keep implant treatment affordable while planning treatment around each patient’s actual needs.

A Narrow Scope, Done Thoroughly
Mission: Dental Implants is built around surgery and prosthetics rather than routine care. That focus allows us to concentrate on the surgical and prosthetic parts of complex cases.
Dental Implants
Dental implants can replace a single missing tooth, support a bridge, or stabilize a removable denture. Treatment is planned around function, cleanability and the amount of support you need.
Tooth Extractions
Treatment includes straightforward extractions, broken or failing teeth, difficult roots and impacted teeth. Sedation and comfort options can be discussed in advance so the appropriate plan is in place before treatment.
Bone Preservation And Grafting
Bone naturally changes after a tooth is removed. When appropriate, grafting at the time of extraction can help preserve bone for a future implant and may reduce the amount of rebuilding needed later.
Teeth Replacement
Replacement dentures, partials, fixed single-tooth implants and multi-unit implant-supported bridges. When an immediate denture is planned, it is made in advance and can be delivered on the day the teeth are removed.
Wisdom Teeth With Sedation
Wisdom tooth removal with sedation is available, including care for eligible KanCare and MO HealthNet patients. We verify applicable coverage before treatment is scheduled.
Affordable Clear Aligners
Clear aligner treatment for appropriate cases at a flat cash price quoted before treatment. If aligners are not the right treatment for your situation, we will tell you before you commit.
Urgent Visits
Pain, swelling, a broken tooth or a denture that failed at the wrong moment. Call us and we will offer the earliest appointment we have available.
Working With Your Dentist
If you already have a general dentist, we coordinate directly with them and return you to their care once the surgical work is finished. If you do not already have a general dentist, we can help you locate one in your preferred area.
Not Sure What You Need?
Bring what you have, including a panoramic film from another office if you have one, and we will tell you plainly what the options are.
How Treatment Works
Digital scanning and careful treatment planning allow the surgical and prosthetic parts of treatment to be coordinated when appropriate. Every case is different, but here is what treatment may look like.
Consult and Imaging
We examine the area and obtain the imaging needed for your case. We explain the treatment options, expected sequence and cost before you decide how to proceed.
Surgery
When clinically appropriate, extraction, bone grafting and implant placement may be completed during the same surgical visit.
Prosthetic design
Your replacement teeth are planned around your treatment. When teeth are being removed and an immediate denture is appropriate, the denture is made in advance and can be delivered on the day of surgery.
Ongoing Dental Care
Patients who were referred by a general dentist return to that dentist for routine and preventive care. If you do not already have a dental home, we can help you locate a general dentist in your preferred area.

Care That Comes To The Patient
For patients whose medical or mobility limitations make travel to a dental office difficult, selected dental services may be arranged at assisted-living and nursing facilities throughout the Kansas City area.
Extractions, denture work and evaluations can all be handled this way. Facility directors and family members are both welcome to get in touch about arranging a visit.
Let's Find Out What Your Options Actually Are
One consultation, the imaging your case requires, and a clear treatment plan. You will understand what treatment involves, the expected timeline and the cost before you decide how to proceed.
